Nicola Coughlan had a cheeky and confident retort when someone at a fan event in Dublin, lauded her “bravery” for going naked on-screen for a scene. In the video now viral on social media, Coughlan had a perfect response to the back-handed comment.
“You know, I think it is hard because I think women with my body type — women with perfect breasts — we don’t get to see ourselves on screen enough,” she said, adding that she’s “very proud as a member of the perfect breasts community. I hope you enjoy seeing them!”

This, however, is not the first time Coughlan has skillfully addressed comments about her appearance. the actress had to face a lot of criticism as well as bullying for her size despite making it big as the lead actress of such a popular show. “That Was My Idea, My Choice”: Nicola Coughlan Was More Than Happy To Be “Very Naked” In Front Of The Camera
Nicola Coughlan has been outspoken about confronting those who criticize her appearance. In an earlier interview with ‘The Stylist‘, she revealed her plans to challenge body-shamers by being “very naked on camera” in future episodes.
“I specifically asked for certain lines and moments to be included,” she said. “There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice. It just felt like the biggest ‘f— you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering,” she added.
Speaking more about her bold choice, Coughlan said, “I felt beautiful in the moment, and I thought: ‘When I’m 80, I want to look back on this and remember how f—ing hot I looked!'”
