Amber Heard has stated that her role in ‘Aquaman 2‘ has been significantly reduced. On Tuesday, Heard was cross-examined in a Virginia court as part of Johnny Depp‘s defamation trial against her. There, she claimed that her role as Princess Mera in 2023’s Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom was harmed by him.
She went on to say that this was a “very pared-down version” of what was originally planned. Heard claimed that she battled hard to be included in the sequel. This is because Warner Bros refused to even consider her in this sequel.

Amber Heard Claims Her ‘Aquaman 2’ Role Was Cut Short
Heard features for only 10 minutes of the film, according to reports. That too, despite having a big role in the previous movie, in 2018. She was, however, generously compensated for ‘Aquaman 2‘. According to Amber, she was paid $2 million, which was double of what she was paid for the first film. Her accusations come amid humungous support for Heard’s removal from the movie, which concluded production in January. The removal support is from the change.org petition that is approaching five million signatures on the platform.
“I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character – without giving any spoilers away – two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch out.”

This comes despite the fact that the character was set to make her debut appearance in the 2017 film Justice League.
