One of her upcoming projects is the action thriller flick ‘Ballerina‘ in which she plays a deadly assassin. The film is a spin-off of the Keanu Reeves starrer ‘John Wick‘ franchise. Now there is a piece of great news for all the fans who have been waiting for the film’s release with bated breaths.

Ana De Armas’ ‘Ballerina’ To Release On THIS Date
Cuban-Spanish actress Ana De Armas has been gearing up for ‘Ballerina.’ According to Variety, the film will be released theatrically on June 7, 2024, by Lionsgate. This news comes just when ‘John Wick 4‘ has grossed more than $250 million at the box office.
Directed by Len Wiseman, the film is written by Shay Hatten. It is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski. Chad is the director of all four ‘John Wick‘ films.
According to the official synopsis: “The world of ‘John Wick’ expands with ‘Ballerina,’ as Ana de Armas stars as an assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma.”
The success of the fourth installment in the franchise will surely have a positive impact on the spin-off. The character of Ballerina was played by Unity Phelan in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum‘.

De Armas Talks About Preparing For The Role
In the film, there is going to be an epic fight scene between Wick and Rooney. The film chronicles the main character who is on her quest to avenge the murder of her family that were killed by Wick. A large portion of the filming took place in Prague.
“I’m in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I’m complaining, I’m sore, I’m bruised,” she said talking about how the film took a physical toll on him.
De Armas also opened up about her experience of working with Reeves. “This man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts. And I’m like — I can’t complain anymore. Because he is doing it! He truly is the best,” she said.
