One of the greatest tandems so far in action history definitely includes Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise in ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout.‘ They couldn’t have gotten a better partner for the main star Tom Cruise, than Superman himself. The 6’1 actor’s muscular physique and the $25 million mustache for ‘Justice League‘, ultimately got him the role of CIA Agent August Walker.

Henry Cavill Says He Was Inspired By Tom Cruise To Do His Own Stunts
Cavill reveals that it was Cruise that inspired him to do most of his stunts in Netflix’s show ‘The Witcher‘. During an interview with Variety, he said, “For me, when it comes to stunts, I’ve always enjoyed doing the physical stuff. Working with Tom Cruise really helped – or maybe in the eyes of the producers, made worse my enjoyment of stunts. I really want to do them now, and I think it’s an essential piece to the character.“
In their movie ‘Mission: Impossible- Fallout‘, Cavill seems to have done almost all his stunts on his own, except one. Apparently, Tom refused to let him do the stunt, as it was too dangerous. Cavill says that this was one of the saddest tales of the movie for him. However, Tom just replied, “Henry, I know exactly how you feel. I get it, you’ve done every single stunt in the movie so far, but this one I can’t let you do it. It needs specific training.“

Cavill And Cruise Are No Less Than Each Other’s ‘Fanboys’
YouTube is no short of Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill’s videos, both fanboying over each other. Cavill is seen rambling a lot about Tom’s unbelievable recovery from his ankle injury. “He concentrates really hard and he heals. He’s a superman, that man,” said the ‘Black Adam‘ actor.
On the other hand, we can also see Cruise effusing Henry’s iconic arm reload in the movie. “When he did this, I was like ‘That’s just awesome. Reloading his biceps-that was awesome!’” – Cruise said in an interview with the cast.
