Even when they are no longer in a relationship, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner prove you can still reunite for a good cause. On November 28, the former Hollywood couple reunited in Los Angeles, serving Thanksgiving meals to people in need in the city’s Skid Row neighborhood.
Their reunion was part of The Midnight Mission’s efforts to feed the homeless in Southern California. Affleck recently went through a high-profile divorce with Jennifer Lopez, whom he married after separating from Garner. Here’s everything that happened during the reunion.
Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Celebrate Thanksgiving Together
The Midnight Mission took to Instagram to post a picture of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner wearing matching aprons and standing side-by-side with the charity’s CEO, David Prentice. The organization wrote praises for the couple in its caption.
“Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving. Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community,” the caption said.
The actors parted ways in 2015 after a ten-year relationship, but still remain tight and co-parent their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Both have also moved on in their respective romantic lives — Garner with businessman John Miller, and Affleck with Jennifer Lopez, from whom he’s divorcing right now but remains committed to being in attendance for his family.
Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Maintain A Friendly Relationship Even After Divorce
Reflecting on his relationship with Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck told People back in 2020, “When you have children with somebody, you’re connected to them forever. And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children.”
For Garner, giving back has always been part of her family values, something she aims to pass on to her kids. In an interview with E! News in 2016, the ‘13 Going on 30‘ star said, “You can’t just say, ‘Here, have values!’ You have to show them that you have values.”
