Singer Charli XCX has replied to Bowen Yang’s impression of her on ‘Saturday Night Live’ parodying the singer’s ‘Brat’ album and more. The comedian appeared in the 50th season of the television show along with host Jean Smart. Yang cosplayed various celebrities including Charli in a hilarious skit, also featuring Sarah Sherman as Troye Sivan.
While viewers might have assumed the short comic sketch would anger the singer, Charli was increasingly amused by Yang’s performance. Here’s what Charli XCX said in response to the pilot episode of the 50th season of SNL.
Charli XCX Was “Very Impressed” With Bowen Yang’s Impression
Charli XCX recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show where the host asked her opinion on Bowen Yang’s impression of Charli XCX. The ‘Apple’ singer replied, “Oh no, no, no, I think SNL is iconic, and Troye [Sivan] and I, we had an inkling it was coming.”
She continued, “We were very excited about it, and I love Bowen, and honestly, I think he did a great job. I was very impressed with the hair texture actually, I thought it was a really good wig. Yeah, it was good. It was cool.”

Wearing a black dress with a curly luscious wig and the singer’s iconic glasses, Yang hosted the talk show with Charli XCX’. Yang also portrayed J. D. Vance, the candidate running for Vice President in the upcoming US elections, and the viral pygmy hippo Moo Deng.
Bowen Yang Mocks Charli XCX’s “Kamala Is a Brat” Tweet
Dancing to the singer’s ‘Talk Talk’, Bowen Yang began the faux talk show and dived into Charli’s X post stating, “Kamala Is Brat”. Thereon, Yang began the game “What is Brat?” where events and objects are titled “brat” or “nat”. Subjects like, “Barron Trump Going To NYU” or “Hunter Biden’s Laptop” were designated the title “brat”. Whereas, “NYU”, and “Mark Robinson’s search history”, among others were titled “nat”.

Later, the comedian invited Susanne Bartsch and Kaitlan Collins portrayed by Smart and Chloe Fineman. Yang introduced Bartsch as a “queer nightlife icon” and Collins as a “hetero CNN icon”. Yang’s portrayal of Charli left the viewers in stitches as the faux talk show delved into the past of the celebrities.
