BTS’ Jin has picked a massive stage for the live debut of his just-announced solo single, ‘The Astronaut’. In fact, the entire world can tune in when the K-pop icon performs the song during Coldplay’s October 28 concert. Jin will appear as a special guest at Coldplay’s world tour in Buenos Aires to perform ‘The Astronaut’ together.
Chris Martin from Coldplay invited Jin via a text message to perform his single at Coldplay’s concert. BigHit MUSIC announced Jin’s appearance at the English band Coldplay’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’ World Tour via the global fandom platform Weverse. Argentina’s River Plate stadium will be beamed out to more than 3,500 movie theatres in more than 70 countries.

Is BTS’ Jin Debuting His New Single Live During Coldplay Show?
On BTS Weverse page, Big Hit Music announced the news that Jin will debut his new single ‘Astronaut’ live during Coldplay Buenos Aires show. Big Hit also notified that the concert will not be livestreamed but that video of ‘The Astronaut’ live debut featuring Coldplay will be uploaded after the show. The live performance will be available to watch on BTS’ official YouTube channel after the concert ends.
This is to “make sure ARMY all around the world can watch Jin and Coldplay’s performance.” The concert will take place just hours after ‘The Astronaut’ — written by Jin and Coldplay — is released. Coldplay and BTS previously collaborated on the 2021 global smash ‘My Universe’. This will mark Jin’s first solo project since BTS announced in June 2022 that they were halting their group activities for now in order to focus of their solo endeavors.

The official poster for ‘The Astronaut’ was unveiled on Wednesday and three different concept photos will arrive next, on October 23, 24 and 25. Jin’s official music video teaser will drop on October 26. News about ‘The Astronaut’ came just one day after it was confirmed that all seven members of the BTS will face the mandate to serve in South Korea’s military for at least 18 months.

Towards the end of their recent Busan concert, which was held on October 15, Jin was heard saying that fans can look forward to this new music. “I have a new album coming out. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s just a single. I was able to collaborate with someone I really adore. I have a lot of contents to share with you, so I hope you enjoy them.” It might not be a big deal for World Wide Handsome Jin but for Army, this might just be the only deal.
