BTS yet again won the MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA). On November 13, 2022, MTV EMAs took place in Düsseldorf, Germany. On this day, BTS took home the ‘Biggest Fans’ award. This marks their fifth consecutive win of the said award beginning in 2018. I mean it’s BTS so this category itself should be called BTS ARMY Award.
They have the biggest ARMY in the world! (If you deny it, please stay away from internet for ever!) One might think, they are just winning because of their fans. Yes! and No! Apart from the ‘Biggest Fans’ award, the boy band has won many awards in MTV EMAs throughout the years.

BTS Won MTV EMAs ‘Biggest Fans Award’
Starting with the Best Korean Act Award in 2015, BTS has been winning various awards at the MTV EMA throughout the years. In 2018, BTS won Best Group and Biggest Fans awards. They took home the Best Group, the Best Live, the Biggest Fans awards in 2019. If you think this is not enough, just wait for the rest!
Even during the pandemic time, in 2020, they took home the Best Song, the Best Group, the Best Virtual Live, and the Biggest Fans awards. Last year, they took 4 trophies home including the Best Pop, the Best K-Pop, Best Group, and Biggest Fans awards. In 2022, for the fifth consecutive time, they took home the ‘Biggest Fans Award’.

Other K-Pop Bands Who Won Awards At EMAs
BLACKPINK’s Lisa walked away with the Best K-Pop Category award for her solo album ‘Lalisa’. BLACKPINK also won the Best Metaverse Performance Award. With this feat, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop female artist to win two trophies at the MTV EMA. Lisa also became the first solo artist to win the Best K-pop Award.
Meanwhile, South Korean boyband SEVENTEEN bagged two awards- Best New Artist and the award for Best Push. Tomorrow X Together AKA TXT, also, walked home with an award for Best Asia Act. Fans from all over the world are cheering up for their idols. BTS Jungkook will be performing at the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022.
