From changing display names to fake news spreading around, the CEO is taking up issues personally to be solved. And Musk has also been helping out with these issues. And this time it is Jimmy Fallon who’s in trouble.
Elon Musk taking over the social media platform had caused so much chaos from the very beginning. This includes the free speech platform moving on to private hands and the drastic changes he bought into the company. The Tesla CEO is trying to figure out a way to totally undo the fake accounts, fake news, and bots. But it seems like the blue tick subscription fee is not of much help.

#RIPJimmyFallon Trends On Twitter
It was on Tuesday night the scurrilous hashtag, #RIPJimmyFallon started trending on Twitter. The hashtag was being spread around usually with someone else’s picture in the tweet. The tweet read,” It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of late-night legend, husband, and father of two, Jimmy Fallon. 1923-2022″. Though it did not affect the users in the United States, the real toll came on the users abroad, those who were clueless about what was going on. ‘The Tonight Show’ host having had enough called on the company’s CEO to address the issue.
Though the fake news had the dates wrong, still it got circulated much by Wednesday morning. This is when Jimmy Fallon reached out to Musk. It was only when Fallon tweeted that people were sure that this was fake news. “Fix what?” the SpaceX CEO tweeted back. The hashtag is yet in circulation and needs to be fixed.

Elon Musk Is Trying Hard To Control Fake News
The new boss has been trying hard to bring down fake accounts and fake news on Twitter. But it seems like his efforts are not achieving the needed results. Since Musk acquired the company, there has been an increase in the number of fake news. The reason behind such a hike is the firing of employees who worked in content moderation and dealing with fake news and accounts. Though blue tick subscription services have been introduced, this hasn’t reduced the number of fake accounts either. Hitherto, it has led to an increase in verified ‘fake’ accounts in the names of celebrities, politicians, and so on.
