Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at Oscars 2022 shocked all of Hollywood and fans as well. It was when the comedian joked about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith that he stormed the stage and hit Chris. Recently, Jada addressed the controversy and expressed her hope about the two men reconciling. She said that they should take the opportunity to heal. However, Chris doesn’t seem too keen about it.

A source told ET that the comedian is paying no attention to Jada’s “plea” to have Will and Chris reconcile. “He’s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment. He’s touring and he’s preparing for a comedy special,” the source added.
Apparently, Chris is focusing on himself. He had refused to press charges on Will.
Jada Pinkett Wants Chris and Will Smith To ‘Heal’
Jada broke her silence on Will slapping Chris on the most recent episode of Red Table Talk. It was after the comedian made a joke about Jada’s shaved head on the Oscars stage. She has been vocal about her alopecia diagnosis, because of which she sports tightly cropped hair.
The actress addressed the controversy and said, “Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile. In the state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one other more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that keeps figuring this thing called life together.”
After the incident, Will broke down while receiving the Oscar for Best Actor and publicly apologized to Chris Rock. He also resigned from the Academy, and he has been banned to attend Oscars for a decade.
