The Oscars 2022 slapgate incident is still reverberating in the tinsel town. At the 94th Academy Awards, comedian Chris Rock and Will Smith had a little skirmish during the live televised ceremony. Rock made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia condition which infuriated Will, and he went on stage and slapped Chris across his face. Due to the incident, the ‘Emancipation’ actor faced extreme repercussions including a 10-year ban from attending the event.
The 95th Academy Awards are on toes and Chris Rock has addressed the slapgate situation during a live performance. Netflix’s ‘Selective Outrage’ show took place at Baltimore, Maryland’s Hippodrome Theatre. It was a live broadcast stream hosted by Roony Chieng. During the event, Rock addressed the Oscars’ situation taking a dig at both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. At the event, he addressed the infidelity situation between the couple. They discussed it publicly at Jada’s ‘Red Table Talk’. Rock called out Jada Smith.

Chris Rock Called Out Jada Pinkett Smith Over The Infidelity Situation With August Alsina
In 2020, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith sat together in an episode of her Facebook series ‘Red Table Talk’. During the episode, she addressed the growing rumors about her affair with artist August Alsina. He revealed that he was romantically involved with Jada and they had Will’s blessings.
During the episode, she did admit that the two were together for four and a half years after she got separated from Smith, however, she squashed the rumors that Will blessed their relationship.
During the event, Chris Rock accused Will Smith of slyly plugging the event’s moniker. He said, “Will Smith practices ‘Selective Outrage’. Everybody who really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that s***. I didn’t really have ‘entanglements'”.
Chris Rock later explained the reference which was from the 2020 episode of her show where she discussed infidelity. He said, “His wife was fucking her son’s friend. I normally would not talk about this s***… I have no idea why two talented people would do something that fucking lowdown.”
He continued, “We’ve all been cheated on, everybody in here been cheated on. None of us has ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us, on television… She hurt him way more than he hurt me.”

Jada Opened Up About The Slap Incident During An Interview
Recently, Jada Pinkett released her new docuseries titled ‘African Queens: Njinga’. It will tell the story of the 17th-century queen of present-day Angola. She narrated the story and Jada is also the executive producer of the docuseries. During a promotional interview with The Guardian, she opened up about the lesson she learned after the Oscar fiasco.
She said, “I learned a lot about detachment. And I learned a deeper beauty within myself, being able to let my hair go”. Jada also admitted that alopecia was a great teacher. The actress said, “It’s been a hard one, a scary one – because specifically as Black women, we identify so much of ourselves with our hair. And it was scary. I had to really dig deep and see the beauty of myself beyond my aesthetics.”
