Dakota Johnson And Chris Martin “Seemed Happy” On Their Trip In Mexico’s Punta Mita
‘Fifty Shades of Grey‘ actress Dakota Johnson and ‘Coldplay‘ lead vocalist Chris Martin were spotted basking in the sun in Mexico in a rare glimpse of their longstanding relationship. According to an insider, the Hollywood duo is out on a spontaneous and intimate trip.
“They stayed in Punta Mita for a few days. They seemed happy. It was just the two of them. They hung out on the beach. Dakota read a book. They also did yoga and meditation,” an insider said, spilling the details of their trip. The source added that the couple was observed “relaxing, talking, reading, swimming, walking, [and] holding hands,” — doing things that any happy couple would do on a dreamy getaway.
Johnson and Martin have generally maintained a private stance on their relationship. Though it is public knowledge that they are dating, the two have never delved into much details of their relationship or even showed off their bond in front of the cameras.
The photos from their Mexican trip reflected that the two are quite content and happy with their relationship. The trip coincided with Johnson’s recent appearance at the Mexico City premiere of her film, ‘Madame Web’ on February 13.
The actress, most popular for her role in ‘50 Shades of Grey’, takes on the character of Cassandra Webb in the Marvel-inspired movie. Her character is that of a New York City paramedic with clairvoyant abilities.

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have been dating for a while. Interestingly, Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow is good friends with Dakota Johnson. The dynamic between the three seems to be in harmony as Paltrow recently shared some photos of herself and Johnson on social media.
In an Instagram poll in October 2023, Paltrow even clarified that her and Johnson are “actually very good friends.” “I love her so much,” the Oscar winner wrote in a Q&A on her Instagram Story.
Martin and Paltrow, who consciously uncoupled in 2014 after a decade of marriage, have maintained a friendly dynamic. Martin started dating Johnson a year after his official divorce in 2017.
In a rare mention of his bond with Dakota, Martin had said on the ‘Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend‘ podcast in March 2023 that Johnson’s suggestion of using SubPacs to enhance the concert experience for the hearing impaired.
