The Short And Successful Stint Of The Late Night Show
‘Desus & Mero’ had originated as a late-night series on Viceland in the later parts of 2016. It later moved to showtime, becoming the premium cabler’s first-ever late-night show.
It is the third series hosted by the duo after the 2014 Complex TV web series of the same name, and the 2016 Viceland television, and web series.
The series debuted on February 21, 2019. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was their first guest. Later it was announced that the show will air two nights per week on Mondays and Thursdays.
Just like a lot of things, the COVID-19 pandemic halted the second season of the show. But returned on March 30 in a teleconferencing format from the hosts’ respective homes. In August last year, the show was renewed for a fourth season which turned out to be its last season.
