Emily Ratajkowski Takes A Dig At Tim Gunn
In 2016, Tim Gunn heavily criticized Emily Ratajkowski for her dress choice at ‘Harper’s Bazaar’s’ Icons party. In one of the ‘Fashion Police’ episodes, Gunn called Emily’s dress “appallingly vulgar and revealing.” At that time, Melissa Rivers, NeNe Leakes, Brad Goreski, and Giuliana Rancic were the hosts. Tim Gunn and Sports Illustrated‘s model Hailey Clauson were special guests.
Tim Gunn remarked, “If I saw this at a party, all I could do would be to drink. I couldn’t eat. There’s absolutely no way. This dress is so appallingly vulgar and revealing. Why wear anything?! Why not just take it all off?!” Yikes!” Leakes even interjected, referencing Kardashian’s fashion. But he blamed social media for the poor fashion choice.
In 2022, during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Emily defended her choice. She admitted that it was one of the most controversial dresses she has worn.
Without taking names, Ratajkowski continued, “Somebody called it ‘extremely vulgar’ and it became this huge controversy on the internet. I was in my 20s and just, like, hadn’t registered that it was so sexy, because there is a panel in the middle, but it looks like there isn’t.”
She continued, “I was basically called out for wanting attention, which I think is interesting because you go to red carpets for attention, basically.”
