Emma Stone has opened up about something hilariously unexpected, and it’s got everything to do with aliens, Hollywood, and one of her most famous co-stars. During her recent late-night appearance, the Oscar-winning actress answered a question that left many of us stunned.
When asked which celebrity she thinks might secretly be an alien living among humans, Stone left both the host and the audience in laughter. But who did she name, and why was she so sure about it?
Emma Stone Thinks William Dafoe Is An “Alien”
During her visit to The Late Show to promote ‘Bugonia‘, Stone was asked by host Stephen Colbert to name one celebrity who could pass as an extraterrestrial disguised as a human. Without a moment’s doubt, she said, “Willem Dafoe. Hundred percent.”

Stone laughed and explained that it was “so simple” because, in her view, the choice was obvious. She said if someone revealed that Dafoe was actually an alien, everyone would react with total acceptance, saying, “Yeah! Obviously. And a great one!” She playfully added that if all aliens were like him, they were more than welcome to “land upon Earth, please.”
Colbert joined in on the fun and joked that Dafoe seemed like “an alien in a very well-fitted man suit,” which prompted Stone to call him her “favorite alien.” The joke and the fun tease were only a reflection of the bond Stone and Dafoe share with their co-star.
Their Real-Life Reunion Had Everyone Talking
Their connection goes back years, when the duo worked together on two Yorgos Lanthimos films, namely ‘Poor Things‘ (2023), for which Stone won an Oscar, and ‘Kinds of Kindness‘ (2024). Beyond that, the two share a comic-book universe connection, where Stone played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man films, and Dafoe famously portrayed Norman Osborne, the Green Goblin, in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.
But what took the fans by surprise was when they reunited at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of ‘Bugonia‘. On the red carpet, the pair greeted each other and in no time, we saw them leaning in for a lip-kiss that instantly went viral. That surprising moment made headlines and soon went viral.
