The Kardashian-Jenner family is a family of models and influencers who’ve been making money through fashion and their body image. The sisters have been time and again criticized for popularizing unrealistic body image, especially Kim Kardashian.
It was only a few months back when Kim’s now ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, expressed his disheartened feelings over Kim’s obsession with being skinny, to the point that she even refused to eat food at many events. The model has again come under scrutiny, this time, for a failed photoshopped image.

TikToker Spots Kim Kardashian’s Recent Photoshop Attempt
Caroline Ross is a commercial photographer who posted a TikTok video and revealed how Kim’s photos for the advertising of her Beats collaboration posted earlier this month are in fact unoriginal and photoshopped. In the video, Ross uses a Photoshop tool to correct her edited neck. According to the photographer, she had removed her trapezius muscle around her neck and shoulders, making them look thinner. “Kim K is notorious for Photoshopping out her traps,” Caroline comments at the beginning of the video. “Why? I don’t know, maybe it makes her neck look smaller?” Using the Photoshop tool, Caroline points out how the pool water has been warped, and correcting the edit, shows a more “natural” water reflection of the pool.
This isn’t the first time Kim Kardashian has been accused of editing her pictures to the point of altering her body shape. She was called out for photoshopping her legs in one of her pictures from the Bahamas. In another picture of her for SKIMS advertising, she erased her belly button away.

Twitter Calls Out Kim Kardashian For Setting Unrealistic Beauty Standards
The 41-year-old model has embraced one of those highly unachievable hourglass figures. It was in 2020 when actress and activist Jameela Jamil called out Kim for her obsession with body image after she posted a picture of her in a waist-slimming corset. She called out the second eldest Kardashian sister for getting sucked into impossible beauty standards. The corset was for her 2019 Met Gala dress, which Kim herself said was very painful and damaging for her body.
After Ross’ TikTok video got viral, netizens remarked and criticized Kim for trying to feed into the impossible beauty standards, body image insecurities and diet culture. One of the users called out the socialite for her hypocrisy.
