Selena Gomez isn’t holding back against the brutal criticism. ‘The: Only Murders in the Building‘ star has made it crystal clear that being vulnerable is anything but weak. She’s done with people shaming her for it.
From mental health battles to sharing deeply personal news, Selena is proving, once again, why she’s one of the most relatable and real celebrities out there. At just 32 years old, she’s already faced more challenges than most of us would in a lifetime.
Selena Gomez Gets Real About Her Health And Her Haters
At a recent event, Selena delivered a passionate speech with a clear message for her haters. Addressing the audience with her younger sister, Gracie, by her side, Selena didn’t mince words about her journey.
“I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help, when you want help,” she shared. Opening up about her struggles with lupus, bipolar disorder, and infertility, Gomez reminded everyone that there’s no shame in being real about your problems.

“That is not shameful. So yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared I have bipolar. Fuck off. That’s what my life is like,” she declared.
In a world where everyone’s trying to look perfect on Instagram, Selena’s honesty is downright refreshing. She went on to say, “I want to advocate for women, and that’s why I share. That’s why I like to be honest — because everybody’s going through something.”
Honestly, can we get an amen for Selena? Because this level of realness is exactly what we need more of.
Selena Gomez On Her Grief And Hope For The Future
Selena Gomez’s heartfelt speech follows her recent interview with Vanity Fair, where she opened up about her grief surrounding the fact that she can’t carry her own children due to medical reasons. “I haven’t ever said this… but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she told.
She further explained that she has “a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy,” and admitted, “that was something I had to grieve for a while.”

Despite this, Selena is looking to the future with hope. She shared that surrogacy and adoption are both “huge possibilities” for her, and she’s excited about the journey ahead, no matter how it unfolds. “At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby,” she said with determination.
This isn’t the first time Selena has spoken out about her health. In April 2020, she revealed her bipolar diagnosis, and she’s been a fierce advocate for mental health ever since. Now, she’s using her platform to break down stigmas and encourage others to be open about their struggles too.
