Actress Florence Pugh was hit in the face with something while she was on the stage with the ‘Dune: Part Two’ Panel at a Comic-Con event in São Paulo, Brazil. Though she was not considerably hurt in the incident, the object hurled at her hit directly in the face and the actress was a bit taken aback.
The trend of fans hurling objects at performers during live events is not new. With this attack at Pugh, the trend now seems to have been extended to actors as well.

Thrown Object Hit Pugh Right In The Face
Pugh was sharing the stage with her ‘Dune’ co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and Zendaya. The group was posing for photos when a small unrecognizable object came flying from the audience at the stage. It struck her directly in the face.
Videos circulating on social media show how Pugh was shocked but recoiled. She can be seen putting her hand to her injured eye and reaching for the object on the ground. Other concerned celebrities also seem shocked in the video.

The attack was launched just moments after Pugh said that she was excited about the panel of the ‘Dune’ cast. “The power in this room is because of that first movie, and we felt that when we went on set every single day. So it feels really, really special being here with the second one,” she said.
It was not immediately confirmed who threw the object at her or what it was.

Onstage Attacks On Celebrities Are Common
Such attacks have unfortunately become very common for celebrities. Recently during an event, an R&B singer Ari Lennox was attacked with a used bottle while she was performing live on the dais. She confronted the person. “I’m a real-ass b, and I will f your s all the way the f* up,” she said.
In a similar incident, Bebe Rexha was also attacked and had to get stitches in June after being hit in the face by a thrown phone. Other celebrities like Kelsea Ballerini, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift have also faced similar attacks.
Swift even addressed this issue during her Buenos Aires performance. “It really freaks me out when stuff gets thrown on the stage. Because if it’s on the stage then a dancer can trip on it. I love that you brought presents and that is so nice, but just can you please not throw them on the stage. I love you so much,” she said.
