Former SpaceX Employees Take Elon Musk To Court Over Wrongful Termination Charges

Elon Musk seems convinced that 2024 will be politically a more turbulent time. But what the billionaire didn’t see coming was the US labor agency’s investigation of him. The tech mogul is under fire for alleged wrongful termination of SpaceX employees.

Since the accusation, Elon Musk has been quick to mount an attack. The 52-year-old entrepreneur has sued the US labor agency on the grounds of being unconstitutional. With the recent buzz around Starlink’s direct-to-cell satellites, he’ll want to wrap the lawsuit as soon as possible to keep the negative press away.

US Labor Agency Goes After SpaceX Founder And CEO For Unlawful Firing

Former SpaceX employees are suing the 52-year-old entrepreneur and businessman

Eight former SpaceX employees have accused Elon Musk of unlawful firing. These employees circulated a letter that referred to the CEO as a “distraction and embarrassment.” It was that some of the tech mogul’s past tweets violated diversity policies and workplace conduct.

According to the complaint filed to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), firing these employees violates federal labor laws. The US Labor Agency has set March 5, 2023, as the date for the case hearing. If found guilty, the board will press the company for drastic penalties. SpaceX founder and CEO was quick to go on the offense.

Elon Musk Files A Lawsuit Against US Labor Agency

SpaceX founder and CEO is going after the US labor agency

In a matter of hours, Elon Musk countersued NLRB. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO believes the lawsuit is frivolous. He insists the case should be thrown out, citing the structure of the labor board as “unconstitutional.”

Elon Musk has previously employed this tactic to get rid of the US Justice Department’s case against SpaceX. Is the second time going to be a charm? Or will the 52-year-old tech billionaire finally lose one of the many battles he has waged against the world?
