The legal battles between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt never seem to end after 2016. The battle saw an ugly spat between them over the ownership of a French winery. Pitt and Jolie bought the Chateau Miravel estate while they were still married and in 2021, Jolie sold her stakes resulting in getting sued by Pitt for doing so.
Pitt accused the ‘Maleficent‘ star of enriching herself along with intentionally damaging after selling off her stakes in the Chateau Miravel to a Russian businessman. Jolie fired back and revealed the truth behind Brad Pitt’s gentlemen farmer role.

Angelina Jolie’s Response To Brad Pitt’s Accusations
A report by Page Six claims that Angelina Jolie has filed a cross-complain against Brad Pitt over a French winery dispute. The statement reads, “Pitt is an actor, not a winemaker. He deals in illusions, not dirt and grapes”. The statement further taunts Pitt and his failed attempt to multi-task in handling his film career and the wine business read, “During the years that he allegedly ‘built’ the business, he filmed and appeared in dozens of movies, not to mention making countless promotional appearances, jetting-setting [sic] around the world for movie premieres, and attending Hollywood parties.”
The statement by Angelina Jolie also mentioned how carelessly the ‘Fight Club‘ star would look after the estate: “While he no doubt visited the vineyards to admire the work of the French laborers who actually made the business successful, Pitt is no vigneron”. The report also dug into Jolie’s counter-complain that claimed Pitt looted the business and spent the profit worth millions of dollars on shallow things, which included refurbishing a recording studio.

Why Did Brad Pitt File A Complaint Against Angelina Jolie?
The Holywood’s ex-IT couple are amidst a raging legal battle regarding the Chateau Miravel. Brad Pitt’s attorney filed a complaint over Jolie’s aggregation that negotiations over the sale of Miraval fell apart after he insisted she sign a nondisclosure agreement that would have prohibited her from speaking about Pitt’s alleged abuse of her and their children. The complaint statement reads, “The only thing that Jolie’s cross-complaint gets right is that she and Pitt purchased Château Miraval as a ‘loving home for their six children.”
Jolie and Pitt’s co-ownership of the French winery was contingent upon each of them having the right of first refusal over any sale of their interests. But in the summer of 2021, after the exes decided to divorce and their heated custody battle got underway, Jolie “terminated buy-out discussions with Pitt and secretly purported to sell a 50% stake in the family home and family business to the Russia-affiliated spirits conglomerate Stoli Group”, Pitt’s complaint states.
