Paris Hilton Narrates An Incident With Harvey Weinstein During Cannes Film Festival In 2000
Recently, Paris Hilton appeared in the Digital Issue of Glamour UK magazine. During the interview, she opened up about motherhood, misogyny, the perception she created, and the dark past. While talking about past experiences related to abuse, she narrated an incident when she had an encounter with Harvey Weinstein. The socialite was merely 19 years old. She was attending the amfAR gala in 2000. The producer was the host.
She said, “I was at lunch with my girlfriend and he came up to the table and was like, ‘Oh, you want to be an actress?’ And I said, “Yeah, I really want to be in a movie’. I was a teenager, so I was impressed by him. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Harvey Weinstein is so cool!’ and he said, ‘Well, we should have a meeting. You can come up to my room and read scripts’… and I just didn’t want to go, so I never went”.
Hilton revealed that the next night during the gala, Harvey followed her to the ladies’ room yelling, “Ya wanna be a star?”. She continued, “I went into the bathroom and then he followed me. He tried to open the door, he was hammering on the door, banging on it. And I wouldn’t open it, because I was like, ‘I’m in a stall, why do you want to come in here?’ And I just wouldn’t open it. And security came and literally carried him away and he was like [shouting], ‘This is my party’, going nuts. It scared me and freaked me out”.

Harvey Weinstein Is Sentenced For 16 Years Of Prison
Justice is finally served for all the women who came out to speak against the predator Harvey Weinstein. In 2017, The New York Times article created an uproar in the industry. Actresses Rose McGowan and the ‘Helen’ actress Ashley Judd shared their instances of the abuse. The court drama began in 2018 with several lawsuits filed.
In December 2022, he was finally found guilty of the accounts rape, sexual assault, and sexual battery allegation. The final sentencing took place in Los Angeles on February 23rd, 2023. In 2020, he was convicted in the New York trial facing prison for 23 years. Now, after the Los Angeles hearing of ‘Jane Doe #1’s’ statement, he will be imprisoned for more 16 years. This means he will be incarcerated for life.
Before the judge announced the sentence, Harvey said, “I maintain that I’m innocent. This is about money and coming after me. Please don’t sentence me to life in prison. I don’t deserve it… There are so many things wrong with this case. There is no evidence… This is a setup… I beg your mercy”.
