Jonathan Majors recently opened up about his feelings about his Marvel replacement during an interview with TMZ, and let’s just say he’s not thrilled. He voiced his disappointment and unhappiness at the choice to have Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom take the role of his character, Kang. “Yeah, heartbroken. Of course, I love him. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked though,” Majors said.

Majors also talked about the industry’s treatment of actors with criminal histories, noting that both Downey Jr. and Miller have been welcomed back with open arms despite their past controversies. “I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being, and has been greeted, with patience, and curiosity, and love, and that Mr. Miller has gotten the same treatment, and that they’re allowed to work their art and be creative at that level… I don’t really get that,” he admitted, highlighting a perceived double standard.

Jonathan Major’s character was also set to play a big role in the then-titled ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty‘ (now Avengers: Doomsday), but tragedy struck midway. After being arrested on charges of assault and harassment, the actor was pulled from the film.
