Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their divorce in July this year after seven years of marital bliss. After more than seven months of separation, the couple has finally reached a settlement agreement, dividing their assets and wealth.
Manganiello and Vergara have, in the past, signed a prenuptial agreement that states they will each keep any assets they have amassed during their time together, according to the divorce suit. As noted by both of them, the separation bears no harsh relations and the couple continues to be on good terms.
During their marriage, the ex-couple did not share “any community property.” In addition, the agreement specifies that Vergara and Manganiello will retain any revenues made after July 2, 2023, as well as personal belongings including jewelry, clothes, and “miscellaneous personal effects.” The couple has also given up their claim to spousal maintenance.

Why Did Sofia And Joe Break Up?
According to Sofia, the couple’s age difference and priorities made things complicated between the two as Sofia, 52 and Joe, 47 weren’t on the same page about wanting to have kids.
Manganiello wanted kids and Sofia, who already has a 32 year old son she had when she was 19, didn’t. Talking about the reason behind her separation, the ‘Modern Family‘ star said, “My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.” She also added that she feels she’s now “ready to be a grandmother, not a mother.”
Despite getting a divorce, the couple is said to be on amicable terms now as Vergara is now dating Justin Saliman, while Joe has also moved on. Sofia also clarified that for her, age is the topmost priority while dating. The actress revealed her new rule for dating, saying, “They can’t be younger than 50, I’m 51. Okay, 49.”
