Ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Australia’s Melbourne, Swifties flocked to tattoo parlors to ink their love for the Grammy-winning artist permanently. VC Ink Tattoo Gallery, one of the studios offering Swift-inspired designs, created a buzz as fans endured standing in a queue for up to 50 minutes.

VC Ink Tattoo Gallery announced the launch of Swift-themed designs with lyrics and motifs inspired by the artist’s music. Each tattoo, priced at $150, allowed fans to choose from designs with song titles such as ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘Getaway Car’, ‘Karma’, and ‘All Too Well’.

The studio also offered some symbolic elements like a snake representing Swift’s ‘Reputation‘ album, a cardigan sweater with stars for the song ‘Cardigan’, and a disco ball inspired by ‘Mirrorball‘ were part of the design options. Two lucky fans also had the chance to win free tattoos from the collection.

The demand for Swift-inspired ink was so high that it led to long lines outside VC Ink Tattoo Gallery, with estimated wait times reaching 40 to 50 minutes for tattoos. Fans shared their freshly inked designs on social media, as they seemed highly enthusiastic about being part of the Eras Tour experience.

VC Ink Tattoo Gallery wasn’t the only one offering Swift-themed tattoos for the weekend. Popular Fine Line Tattoos organized a flash tattoo event featuring designs inspired by Swift’s music. The event covered by Australia’s News Corp included offerings like a dragon representing ‘Long Live’, a broken champagne glass for ‘Champagne Problems’, and a koi fish featured in the ‘Lavender Haze’ music video—all available for $200 each.

Swifties also shared their tattoo experiences on TikTok, showing off various designs with excitement. Many also got matching tattoos with their friends as a testament to their shared love for Taylor Swift. The tattoos became a symbol of their “Swiftie friendship,” with fans proudly showing their new ink at Swift’s Melbourne concert.

During the performance, Swift played a medley of ‘Getaway Car’, ‘August’, and ‘The Other Side of the Door’. Addressing the audience, she also gave a sweet message before starting the performance. “I just really want you to be happy because you’re making me happy. So I figured you might want to hear this one. Let me know, though,” she said.
