Celebrities often play roles in their acting careers which sometimes isn’t suitable for their children to watch during a certain age. Some kids also find it awkward to watch the works of their parents on screen. This is the case with Alyson Hannigan’s children too.
Well, it’s a good thing as she starred in the R-rated movie series ‘American Pie’ which had all sorts of embarrassing sexual tropes. Moreover, Hannigan recalled how she traumatized her kids by making them watch her husband’s old music video, so it’s better to keep them away from their screen work.

Alyson Hannigan’s Children Didn’t Like Their Father As A Teenager Flirting With Other Girls
The actress shares daughters Satyana, 15, and Kiev, 12 with her husband Alexis Desnisof. While she wanted them to grow up first to watch her work, she introduced them to the 1987 George Harrison music video Denisof starred in titled ‘Got My Mind Set On You‘. In it, a 17-year-old Denisof was flirting with somebody girl.
Hannigan shared how it went with her kids, “I accidentally traumatized them by showing them a video that my husband had done when he was, like, 17. He’s a little teenager. He’s adorable, but [his character is] trying to catch this girl’s eye at the arcade. And something happened when they watched that where they didn’t like seeing their dad — even though he is a teenager, looks nothing like he does now — flirting with somebody else.” And, her children went, “Hmm, we don’t wanna watch How I Met Your Mother.”
Hannigan added, “Because I’m married to somebody else, and something just switched where they don’t wanna see us with anyone else.” She further joked, “So I kind of got off the hook there! I was like, ‘Fantastic!’ And it was him, not me. So, perfect!”

Alyson Hannigan’s Children Got Influenced By Taylor Swift To Watch ‘American Pie’
Alyson Hannigan was thrilled when Taylor Swift referenced her show ‘American Pie‘ in her song, “So High School”. But even this can’t convince her to make her kids watch the raunchy teen comedy.
While talking about her partnership with Kevin’s Natural Foods, she told the US Weekly, “When they were in elementary school, there was a phase where they both wanted to see stuff that we’d been in, like Buffy or whatever, and they were still too young”.
She added, “They haven’t mentioned that they wanna see it, but they know how exciting it is. Taylor might’ve piqued their interest, but not that they’ve mentioned. That’s the one I dread the most. … Hopefully, I can just ride it out until they’re in college.”
Though they are definitely aware Taylor is referring to their mom’s show: “Watching ‘American Pie’ on a Saturday night”. Alyson herself is a diehard Swiftie. She added, “I got to be with Taylor and Travis [Kelce] on the dates, really. Just the three of us — I mean, in my mind that’s how it went“.
