Nepotism is a bubbling topic in Hollywood right now. Emma Roberts has been quite vocal about the nepotism that she faced due to her family being in the same industry. ‘The Boys‘ actor Jack Quaid also is in the same boat.
Quaid is the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan and he agrees to be a “nepo baby”. The actor believes in showcasing his talent, much like Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke. He doesn’t want to overshadow the legacy of his mother.

Jack Quaid Doesn’t Mind Being Called A ‘Nepo Baby’
‘The Boys’ actor Jack Quaid doesn’t mind being called the “nepo baby” in the industry, rather he takes pride in it. He believes in hard work and not overshadowing the legacy of his mother, Meg Ryan. He said, “No matter what I do, people are going to call attention to it. People have called me a ‘no baby.’ I’m inclined to agree,” said the star, whose parents are superstars Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan.”
Jack added, “I am an immensely privileged person, was able to get representation pretty early on, and that’s more than half the battle.”
This isn’t the first time the nepotism in Hollywood is questioned. There are many celebrities kids who are a ‘product of nepotism’. Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, Maude Apatow, daughter of Judd Apatow, and many more actors and actresses have been vocal about making their place in Hollywood.

Meg Ryan Thinks Nepotism Stuff Dismisses Her Son’s Work Ethic
Jack Quaid. while talking to The Daily Beast’s The Last Laugh podcast, said that he purposely avoided romantic comedy projects to avoid comparison with his mother, who starred in the same kind of movies.
He also added that it was intentional as his mother was called the rom-com queen and Jack never wanted to take her place and respected her as an actress. On the other hand, his mother, Meg Ryan defended her son from the label of a “nepo baby“. Acknowledging his talent she said, “That nepo stuff is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege.”

Jack also acknowledged his career and said that he has encountered more rejection than acceptance in this field.
