The drama ahead of the presidential elections set to be held in November has taken a surprising turn after President Joe Biden bowed out of the race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris instead. The move has also impacted the dynamics that people from other fraternities shared with America’s political scenario.
Tech mogul Elon Musk, who has been vocal about his support for Republican candidate Donald Trump, is seemingly taking a step back now. In a recent conversation with conservative commentator Jordan Peterson, Musk debunked claims that he’s spending $45 million a month to elect former President Donald Trump. Here’s all that he talked about as the elections draw closer.
Elon Musk Trashes Rumor Of His Massive Donations To Donald Trump’s Campaign
Elon Musk is rather infamous for his conservative views about certain things, and so the rumors of him creating a super political action committee (PAC) to support Donald Trump’s campaign took no time to gain traction. Ahead of the presidential elections this year, many speculated that the billionaire is going monetarily out of his way to ensure Trump’s victory.
His actions, including when he referred to Trump as a “bull in a china shop,” also fell in line with the circulating rumors. However, during a recent interview, Musk took a moment to set the record straight and trash any such rumors.
“What’s been reported in the media is simply not true,” Musk declared. “I am not donating $45 million a month to Trump,” he said after the news gained traction following the first report by The Wall Street Journal. It had cited sources “familiar with the matter” in its report, though no correction has been issued by the media house so far.

Elon Musk Shares His Vision For “Great America”
Though he denied making any such rumored donations, Elon Musk did acknowledge the establishment of America PAC, a super PAC designed to support Trump. Unlike regular PACs, which cap donations at $5,000 per year, super PACs can raise unlimited funds for independent campaign expenditures, such as ads and operations, without directly donating to the campaign itself.
Musk emphasized that America PAC isn’t meant to be “hyperpartisan,” aligning instead with his vision of “Make America Greater” (MAG) rather than the more familiar MAGA slogan. “I don’t prescribe to [a] cult of personality,” Musk explained. However, he also praised Trump for showing “great courage” after surviving the recent assassination attempt on July 13.
Musk elaborated on the core values he believes make America great, which he said are better represented by the Republican party. “The hand of government gets heavier every year, and if we don’t roll back some restrictions and regulations, eventually, everything will be illegal,” Musk said.
When Peterson asked about Musk’s shift from supporting Democrats to backing Trump, he criticized the Democrats for becoming the party of censorship. He also mentioned a lawsuit filed by the Justice Department under President Joe Biden’s administration, alleging that SpaceX discouraged refugees and asylum seekers from applying for jobs.
