Elon Musk has stirred up another controversy as he called out author J.K. Rowling for her persistent stance on transgender issues. His post came out as a surprise for many as the businessman is known for making some harsh statements against the LGBTQI community on social media.
While Rowling has been under fire recently for her feud with the Harry Potter stars over her transphobic views, Musk calling her out was the last thing anyone would have expected. However, Musk’s unexpected intervention was not without his support for what Rowling is advocating for.
In response to one of Rowling’s lengthy posts reiterating her views on transgender women, Musk gently nudged her and asked her to diversify her content. “While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?” Musk wrote in response to Rowling’s tweet.

J.K. Rowling Has Long Been Navigating Her Controversial Stance On Transgender Issues
J.K. Rowling has been in the spotlight lately for her consistent focus on transgender exclusion within feminism, a subject that has sparked significant controversy and backlash. In one of her recent posts on X wherein she was responding to the backlash with elaboration, Rowling wrote “You’ve asked me several questions on this thread and accused me of avoiding answering, so here goes,” as she further detailed her logic.
Rowling’s career after ‘Harry Potter’ has been marked by her controversial stance on transgender issues, with the actors of the franchise themselves speaking out against her. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are among the stars who have reiterated their support for transgender women and their identity despite the writer of their franchise adamantly stating otherwise.
In a statement about the matter, Radcliffe also clarified that it makes him “really sad” to see Rowling have such problematic views. He emphasized that though he owes most of his career’s success to Rowling because of ‘Harry Potter‘, he refuses to owe her his opinion about “something he truly believes in.”
Meanwhile, Elon Musk is no stranger to the online that came his way for amplifying right-wing voices and spreading divisive narratives, including anti-trans rhetoric and other forms of hate speech.
