Robert De Niro has become a father for the seventh time. Besides the newborn child, the Oscar-winning actor’s other kids are aged between 11 and 51. While his large brood has become a topic of discussion, a bigger spotlight has fallen on his age.
Twitter is shocked and amused that the 79-year-old has fathered another child. The comments range from mocking him for becoming a father when one’s supposed to be a grandfather to his ability to engage in sexual activity when he is about to turn 80.

Robert De Niro Is Officially A Father Of Seven And Twitter Can’t Take It
Robert De Niro is quite fit and fabulous as he approaches 80. While promoting his film ‘About My Father’, he told ET Canada about having welcomed his seventh child. “I just had a baby,” he said. The mother is reportedly his girlfriend Tiffany Chen, who had been spotted with a baby bump earlier.
While Robert is quite happy and content with the arrival of his kid, as any parent would, netizens had a lot to say about his decision. While many made fun of him for becoming a father again, his age drew more attention. One comment read, “Damn I was about to write R.I.P”, while another read, “My God the Randy Robert De Niro has become a Father for the Seventh time he really is the Godfather and he’s 79.”
Some people also drew comparisons with Nick Cannon, who has 12 kids. “In Italian, De Niro means ‘Nick Cannon’,” wrote one person.

Apart from his new kid, Robert De Niro has six children from his previous relationships. The ‘Taxi Driver’ actor and his first wife Diahnne Abbott share two kids – Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46. His next two kids were carried by his ex-girlfriend and actress Toukie Smith. The children are twins Julian and Aaron, 27. De Niro then welcomed son Elliot, 24 and daughter Helen Grace, 11, with his ex-wife Grace Hightower.
On his parenting style, De Niro said, “I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”
