Meghan Fox opened up about her past and present to GLAMOUR in her recent interview. She spokes about sexism, being a sex symbol, her psychological breakdown, her feminist revival, and her passionate blood-drinking rituals with her fiance.
Meghan Fox’s First-Hand Experience of Misogyny And Objectification
Fox took a break from acting and finally appeared on the big screen in 2019. She only appeared in two movies from 2013 to 2018.
“I wasn’t allowed to be a human, because I was a topic of conversation and gossip and punchlines,” she said, noting that she took a few roles but avoided public appearances and interviews. “I was essentially in hiding for several years of my life.”
After Meghan’s performance in “Transformer”, she became one of the most famous women on the planet. She was objectified as a sex icon in the media and even by Michael Bay’s franchise itself.
“When so many people around the world are thinking about you or have negative thoughts or intentions towards you, that energy permeates and penetrates me,” she said. “I don’t have boundaries and walls for that. I’m still human. I am still fragile in that way, I can feel. And that was part of the struggle.”
She suggested that she has been voicing out about the media and film industries’ treatment of her. She said she was way ahead of #METOO in making her side of the story heard.
“I think that I was ahead of the #MeToo movement by almost a decade,” she said. “I was always speaking out against some of the abusive, misogynistic, patriarchal things that were going on in Hollywood back in 2008 and 2009, way before people were ready to embrace that or tolerate it. And I actually ridiculed for doing it. I think people just have had time to review that, in retrospect.”

The two first met in the set “Midnight In The Switch Grass.”. The two started dating in September 2020. The couple engaged at the foot of an ancient banyan tree in Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico.

Meghan Fox declared on Instagram that they drank each other’s blood after their engagement.
“I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like Game of Thrones, drinking each other’s blood,” she said in the full interview, available here. “It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.”
“I’m much more controlled. I read tarot cards and I’m into astrology and I’m doing all these metaphysical practices and meditations. And I do rituals on new moons and full moons, and all these things. So when I do it, it’s a passage for a reason. And it is controlled where it’s like, ‘Let’s shed a few drops of blood and each drink it.’ He’s much more haphazard and hectic and chaotic, where he’s willing to just cut his chest open with broken glass and be like, ‘Take my soul,’” she says, dramatically mimicking her beloved’s alleged chest-bearing, chest-slashing passion.
Meghan Fox has revealed all the wrongs done to her by the film industry and also about her exciting relationship with her new soulmate MGK. The two seem to be head over heels in love and refer to each other as their person.
