Selena Gomez Addresses Her Weight Gain
Selena Gomez has struggled with a lot of issues, including depression. These problems are magnified just because she is a celebrity. People tend to forget that they are also human beings behind the glitz and glam.
In her recent TikTok live, the 30-year-old artist addressed her weight gain. She said that her lupus medication has a direct effect on her weight. “When I’m taking it, I tend to hold a lot of water weight, and that happens very normally“, she said.
She further added, “When I’m off of it, I tend to kind of lose weight. I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they’re going through and no one knows the real story.”
Gomez also said that the medication is important and it really helps her. The singer-actress also emphasized the fact that she is “not a model” and “never will be.” She was trolled for her appearance at this years Golden Globes.

Disney Forbade Her From Using A Phrase
Gomez started out her career with Disney where she was “explicitly told” to not use a very common phrase which is, “What the hell?” “I wasn’t a wild child by any means, but I was on Disney, so I had to make sure not to say ‘What the hell?’ in front of anyone,” she said.
In 2014, the ‘Only Murders in the Building‘ actress was diagnosed with lupus. It is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes severe swelling, body, and joint pain as well as fatigue.
In the Apple TV+ documentary, ‘My Mind & Me‘, Gomez got candid about her health issues as well as her struggle with depression.
