Travis Kelce is throwing some serious shade at Joe Alwyn with his recent comments on not wanting to hide away from the world with his relationship. The Chiefs player emphasized on the difference between keeping things private and hiding your relationship from the world; making it a subtle jab at Alwyn’s need for incredible privacy.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time,” Kelce said, “I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, that’s my lady, and I’m proud of that.”

“I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like, ‘how can I keep this under wraps?'” Kelce continued. “You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

In another part of the interview, Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ with the Boys, the hosts bring up a very significant lyrical change Swift made to one of her songs ‘Karma‘ that previously had a line “Karma is the guy on the screen,” a reference to her then actor boyfriend Alwyn. As of now, she sings “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” as an ode to Kelce. Talking about this minor change, the host, Will Compton asks, “Wasn’t it ‘guy on the screen?’ ” to which Kelce, smugly replies, “(It) was”.

Ever since the power couple’s breakup was confirmed, Alwyn has been facing the wrath of millions of Swifties who have constantly bullied him on social media. This came after Swift carefully documented parts of their relationship and why it broke apart in her album ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ opening up on the breakup and everything that came before it.

Alwyn, however, had remained silent for the longest time before breaking his silence recently on his side of the breakup. The actor said, “I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate. What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

Further talking about the course of their relationship and the privacy he insisted upon, he said, “As everyone knows, we together both of us, mutually decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private. It was never something to commodify and I see no reason to change that now,” before adding, “And, look, this is also a little over a year ago now and I feel fortunate to be in a really great place in my life, professionally and personally. I feel really good.”
