However, the Chiefs’ star said he is well aware of the “obsession” people have with his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end, is fully aware of the fascination the world has with his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. In an old interview with sports reporter Laura Okmin ahead of the Super Bowl, Kelce said he is well aware of the impact of his romance with Swift and the popularity it has garnered.
“I’m very aware,” Kelce said when asked is he understands the “impact” his romance with Taylor Swift has on the NFL, especially in terms of the women viewers getting drawn to football.
“Obviously, this is mostly because Taylor’s in my life now and we got her [to be] part of Chiefs Kingdom,” he explained in the interview. “And sure enough, that brought an entire entourage of human beings who just love to support her and love to support everything that she’s about.”
When the reporter remarked that “love looks good” on the superstar tight end, he humbly thanked her. “I appreciate that, thank you,” he said.

Travis Kelce Opens Up About Making Exception For Taylor Swift Despite Having A “Guarded Approach”
Talking about his focus on football and the game against the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce admitted to having a “guarded approach” because of the public interest.
“Well, the biggest thing for me is … I never want the people in the building to ever have the idea that I’m not focused on the game, I’m not focused on being my best at football and not having all my focus and all my attention to my craft and making sure that I’m accountable in the biggest game of our lives,” Kelce said of the impending game against the San Francisco 49ers.
“With that being said, I do, you know, have a guarded approach to it,” he continued. “But at the same time, I know what me and Taylor have is special, so I get [the interest].”
Kelce also said that he is extremely happy about the positive aspect of their relationship, noting that it’s “beautiful” that fathers and daughters are bonding over football because of Swift’s popularity. After Kelce secured his third Super Bowl victory in Las Vegas, Swift was there to support him. However, she jetted off to Australia shortly afterward to continue her Eras Tour.
Kelce and Swift took their relationship public in September, and since then, have openly shared their headline-making love story.
