Ross (David Schwimmer) finds out his monkey Marcel is shooting a beer commercial. We have Matthew Perry to thank for bringing Julia Roberts to ‘Friends.’ In his memoir ‘Friends, Lovers, And Big Terrible Things,’ he talks at great lengths about the courtship involved in bringing her to the show. Roberts would agree to do the part only if she would share her episode with Matthew Perry. But it also took consistent persuasion on Perry’s part.
‘Friends‘ alum would send her dozens of red roses and a note expressing his excitement to share the screen with her. Roberts replied, saying it would only happen if he explained Quantum Physics to her. Determined, he did write a paper, and Roberts delivered on her promise.
