Actor Patrick Swayze‘s widowed wife, Lisa Niemi Swayze talked about how she had a dream of her husband, where he gave her blessings to move on with her love life after she was hesitant to accept a proposal from her current partner.
Lisa believes that Patrick gave her permission to get married again after Albert DePrisco proposed to her. She said she was hesitant to accept the proposal as she felt she was still married to him in her mind, but the dream helped her make the choice. “I still love Patrick.” she revealed, “I even said to Albert, I said, ‘Does it bother you that I still love Patrick?’ He says, ‘No, honey. I know you love him and I know you’d love me. And I’m here to love you now.’”
Speaking of the dream she elaborated, “I was in this courtyard. When I see him in my dreams, he would never speak but I could understand what he was saying because I have many dreams about him. He came up to me and he put his arms around me and I was like, ‘I can’t marry Albert.’ And I was (like), ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t marry Albert now because you’re back. Thank God you’re back.’ And he just looked at me. What his words came to me were, ‘No, I know you love me. This has nothing to do with it.’”
She added that she thinks “he was letting me know that it didn’t change how we felt about each other in our relationship with each other. It was like giving a blessing.”

Lisa Swayze Opens Up On Her Relationship With Patrick Swayze
After getting married in 1975, Lisa and Patrick had a strong marriage and frequently worked together on different projects. Both dancers had classical training, and they collaborated on a number of plays and other projects, such as the film ‘One Last Dance‘, which Lisa both wrote and directed.
Following Patrick’s death, Lisa has made a number of revelations of what life was like after the actor discovered his illness.
Lisa disclosed that Swayze battled his illness, particularly because he was aware that pancreatic cancer was a tough disease to treat, and that he yearned to live during his final moments. She recalled the two spending one of their final vacations at their New Mexico property. “We’re walking along. It’s a beautiful day and he looked at me with tears in his eyes, he said, ‘I want to live,'” she said, adding, “When he first found out he had pancreatic cancer he turned to me and said, ‘I’m a dead man,'”
Currently, Lisa is married to Albert DePrisco.
