Milly Alcock has become a household name for portraying the character of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon.’ Her performance as the dragon riding princess has been well received. The show has also received good reviews and TV ratings so far.
Just like its parent show ‘Game of Thrones‘, the prequel also showcases a lot of steamy scenes. It also deals with incest as the Targaryens practice it to keep their bloodline pure. In the latest episode, we see another such scene. Alcock talked about her experience shooting it in an interview.

Milly Alcock Talks About Filming The Incest Scene
Milly Alcock has instantly become of the most popular and fan favorite actors in ‘House of the Dragon‘. (Spoiler alert!) In the fourth episode of the prequel show, we see an incest scene of Rhaenyra with her uncle Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith).
In an interview with The New York Post, the 22-year-old Australian actress talked about her experience shooting it and stated that it wasn’t awkward. “No, strangely enough. [Matt and I] were just kind of mates,” she said.
She continued: “We had an intimacy coordinator, and we worked with her through the rehearsal process and blocked it out months before. Clare Kilner, our director, made sure that we hadn’t seen any of the brothel stuff until we were shooting.”
“So, that was our first time walking through the brothel, and he’s guiding her through the room with all of these other bodies. So, that was quite shocking. You’re like, ‘This is kind of weird and silly.’ There were extras who we had just met who were like, 69-ing for 12 hours,” she added. It’s pretty gnarly. We felt pretty overdressed, because everyone else was nude.”
Alcock Will Be Replaced Soon In ‘House Of The Dragon’
As the story of ‘House of the Dragon‘ progress, we will see a time jump in the near future. Several young actors in the show will be replaced by slightly mature actors in the upcoming episodes.
The Aussie actress who plays the teenage Rhaenyra will be replaced by Emma D’Arcy after the fifth episode. Emma, who is in her early 30s, has done several films and television shows.
Emily Carey (who portrays Allicent) will be replaced by Olivia Cooke. Leana (Nova Fouellis-Mose) and Laenor (Theo Tate) Velaryon will be replaced by actors like Nanna Blondell and John MacMillan respectively.
The first season has received a strong response from the audiences and the critics. HBO recently renewed the fantasy show for a second season. Apart from the actors, co-showruner Miguel Sapochnik has also left the show after its first season.
