James Cameron Movies

He has also contributed much to underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies.
Cameron started his career in the late 1970s by borrowing money from dentists and creating the short film ‘Xenogenesis’ (1978). He later worked as special effects director and later even the director of the Piranha movie series. Later, James had a nightmare in Rome about a robot sent from the future to assassinate the filmmaker. That inspired him to make the ‘Terminator’ film series. In the 1990s the ‘Point Break’ director, had the first idea for ‘Avatar’ however he dropped the idea thinking the technology is not advanced enough for CGI.
So he took his next major film ‘Titanic’. The budget for the story of the ship that sunk in 1912 was $200 million. At the time it was the most expensive film. James himself took several dives of the Atlantic to gauge the ruins of the ship. It gave him the basic idea to image the ship that would be made for the film. ‘Titanic’ held the position for the most-grossing film for 12 years till it was broken by another of Cameron’s films- ‘Avatar’. When it was released, that year James’ return was $257 million. The movie broke several box office records and along with ‘Titanic’, it was one of the five films to have earned $2 billion.
