Jennifer Lopez Talks About Her Children
On Monday, Jennifer Lopez appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark and talked about parenting teen boys with her husband Ben Affleck. Apart from her twins, Lopez has twins Maximilian David and Emme Maribel (15 years old) with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Affleck also has sons Samuel, Seraphina, and Violet with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. “It’s almost five teenagers!“, Lopez said. “The younger is 11, so he’s not quite, but pre-teen.”
She added, “But the teenage years are tough. It’s challenging. You have this baby for a while and then it’s like, your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Get out of my room.'”

Lopez Compares Parenting To Surfing
In the same interview, Lopez compared parenting to surfing in the ocean. “I’m riding the waves, and then it’s like, ‘Oops, I just got knocked over!’ Now, I’m back, I’m back!,” she explained.
The singer then said that it is particularly hard for mothers because kids always love their dads. “They’re always like, ‘Dad’s the best!’ — and I was like that with my dad too!” she said.
In an earlier interview, she said that her kids love and appreciate Affleck, who is their stepfather. The couple was in a relationship in the early 2000s but called off their engagement due to heavy media attention.
