Joseph James Rogan aka Joe Rogan was born on August 11th, 1967, in Newark, NJ. He was born to Joseph Rogan, who was Italian but lived in the States. Joseph was a former police officer in New Jersey. When Joe was five years old, his parents divorced. Growing up, he did not share an amicable relationship with his father due to his domestic violence tendencies. Joe was seven years old when his mother remarried and they moved to San Francisco and then to Florida when he was 11 years old.

From a young age, he started training in karate and Taekwondo. In 1985, he graduated high school in Massachusetts. Joe Rogan attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston. The host won the U.S. Open Championship Taekwondo tournament when he was 19 years old. However, he dropped out of college at the age of 24, he moved to New York City to make a career in stand-up. As his first gig, he got a spot on MTV’s comedy show ‘Half-Hour Comedy Hour’. At Fox, in 1994, he landed a role in ‘Hardball’. From 1995 to 1999, he acted in ‘News Radio’, an NBC sitcom. But, the breakthrough gig was as the host of ‘Fear Factor for seven seasons.
