Joe Rogan is a towering name in the podcast world. While he has found himself in the middle of many controversies in his two-and-a-half-decades-long career, the American comedian emphasizes that his principles have led him to take tough decisions. One such decision was to not interview Donald Trump.
Interviewing the President of the United States of America could be a dream-come-true moment for many people. So, what made Rogan refuse the several opportunities to sit across from Donald Trump and ask him questions about his personal and professional life?

Why Joe Rogan Rejected Donald Trump’s Interview Offers
Apparently, Joe Rogan had many opportunities to interview Trump but he declined it every time. ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ host revealed the reason for the same in a recent interview on Lex Fridman’s podcast.
The podcaster said, “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once – I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
He called Trump “an existential threat to democracy itself” and also denounced people who according to him “felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him.”
When it was pointed out to Rogan that he has hosted controversial people whom he dislikes on his show, he explained his stance in reference to Kanye West’s example. “Yeah, but Kanye’s an artist. Kanye doing well or not doing well doesn’t change the course of our country,” Rogan retorted.
Rogan On Donald Trump Running For President Against Joe Biden In 2024: “He’s Running Against A Dead Man”
Joe Rogan put forth his belief that Donald Trump will run in the 2024 presidential elections again. Fridman asked the podcaster if he thinks the 45th president stands a chance at winning the bid.
Referring to the current president, Joe Biden, Rogan said, “Well, he’s running against a dead man, you know? I mean, Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage. I think he’s seeing ghosts. You see him on Jimmy Kimmel the other day? He was just rambling. I mean, he’s – if he was anyone else, if he was a Republican, if that was Donald Trump doing that, every ***ing talk show would be screaming for him to be off the air.”
Although, Rogan thinks that the Trump era will “be one of the weirder times.”
“When people look back historically about the division in this country, he’s such a polarizing figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself,” Rogan said.
