BBC Documentary To Follow Kanye West Through 2024 Presidential Campaign

Mobeen Azhar will follow Kanye West’s 2024 presidential campaign

Kanye West first announced his presidential campaign in 2020. With only 70,000 votes, it was a disaster. But West was, for lack of a better word, adamant. On November 20, 2022, the 45-year-old rapper announced his 2024 presidential campaign.

BBC’S investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar will follow West’s campaign trail against the background of heinous charges against the rapper turned entrepreneur. The focus of Mobeen Azhar’s documentary is to follow the controversial rapper’s career and how he became one of the most famous artists of his generation.

How Will The Documentary And Podcast Impact Public Perception Of Kanye West?

BBC documentary and podcast is coming at a difficult time for the rapper

Mobeen Azhar’s investigation will look into the music and fashion mogul’s history against the backdrop of his running for the highest office of the United States. Before Ye went on racist tirades, he was an accomplished artist. The Grammy-winning artist turned fashion icon also designed a line of footwear called ‘Yeezy‘ for Adidas.

As of October 2022, West, the disgraced rapper, made hurtful remarks against the Jewish community. He made several appearances on media networks, making statements labeled anti-semitic. Soon, brands like Balenciaga and Adidas dropped him, condemning their former client’s racist behavior.

Mobeen Azhar is known for documenting celebrities. Prior to Kanye, he explored the conservatorship of Britney Spears in the documentary, ‘The Battle for Britney.

‘We Need to Talk About Kanye’ is produced for BBC Music. The British network has yet to provide a set release date for it.
