Keanu Reeves Opens Up About Deepfakes
Keanu Reeves has been a part of Hollywood for more than three decades and has witnessed several changes in it. However, the recent technological advancements still baffle him.
In an interview with Wired, the ‘Speed‘ actor talked about deepfakes making their way into Hollywood. “Yeah, digitally. I don’t mind if someone takes a blink out during an edit,” he said.
He further added, “But early on, in the early 2000s, or it might have been the ’90s, I had a performance changed. They added a tear to my face, and I was just like, ‘Huh?!’ It was like, I don’t even have to be here.”
Reeves said actors lose agency with deepfakes, calling it “scary.” He stated that it’s going to be interesting to see the impact of these technologies in the near future.

Reeves Got A Restraining Order Against A Stalker
Earlier this month, the 58-year-old actor got a restraining order against an alleged stalker. Mathew Rosengart, his lawyer, filed a petition in the Los Angeles superior court and got a temporary order.
According to the file, a 38-year-old man had “stalked, harassed and trespassed” on the actor’s Los Angeles County property. He showed up at Reeves’ doorstep several times which caused distress to the actor.
The unnamed man has a criminal history and has been convicted for charges like assault, drug possession, larceny, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct in the Rhode Island region.
