Brad Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s family happened to be at an exhibition by ‘Moneyball‘ director Bennett Miller at the same time on Tuesday. It seemed like the actor did not anticipate the presence of Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, and brother, James Haven there. The ‘Fight Club‘ star seemed visibly taken aback and awkward after they crossed paths with him.
“Plenty of people noticed how awkward it was that Brad was in the same room as [Angelina’s] family, and it’s not a big space,” an eyewitness told the US Sun. “I’m told James was amicable and acknowledged Brad, but I didn’t see them talking,” the witness added.
“They were mostly stood apart for the duration of the event, speaking with friends,” the source added.
The surprise encounter also naturally led to hushed whispers among attendees. The source also mentioned that it is believed Pitt was unaware that Jolie’s family would be present at the event.

What made the situation even more awkward was the presence of Pitt’s girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, who was accompanying him. Brad Pitt seemingly navigated the potentially awkward situation politely. The couple reportedly acknowledged Voight and Haven and maintained a courteous demeanor throughout the evening.
Pitt was dressed stylishly in a brown leather jacket, polo shirt, denim jeans, and suede boots. Ines De Ramon meanwhile opted for a white tank top beneath a beige cardigan, paired with black leather pants and matching boots.
Pitt has been navigating his post-divorce life but has found some solace in his newfound love with Ines De Ramon. Though it got a bit awkward at the beginning, the actor reportedly seemed unfazed by the reunion later.
As the custody battle between Pitt and Jolie continues, their children are growing up. They are reportedly closer to their mother while not so fond of their father. While Jolie has been keeping a low profile asserting that she is being labeled the ‘bad guy’ with the whole divorce drama.
