The actor duo collaborated in Hulu’s ‘Only Murders In The Building’ for its third season, and they absolutely set the screen on fire. Post the show, they started hanging around each other, which led to questions if they were actually dating.
Addressing the dating allegations, Martin Short responded and said, “We’re not a couple, we are just very close friends.”
Moreover, Short’s representative spoke to People and said that they both “are just very good friends, nothing more.”
Martin Short was previously married to actress Nancy Dolman until her death in 2010. The pair was married for three decades. They had three children Katherine Elizabeth, 40, Oliver Patrick, 37, and Henry Hayter, 34.
On the other hand, Meryl Streep separated from her husband Don Gummer of 45 years in 2023, with whom she shares four children, Henry, 44; Mamie, 40; Grace, 37, and Louisa, 32.

The alleged couple stepped out for a cosy dinner date on Friday, pictures of which went viral later on, leading more speculations to arise on if the actor duo is dating.
A source who was present on site revealed that there was “lots of laughing” and adds that they “couldn’t have been having a better time.”
“They were really enjoying their meal and having a blast the whole time,” the source further adds.
