Meet Natalie Portman’s Kids, Aleph And Amalia

Natalie Portman is not just a reel Avenger, for her children, she is no less than a superwoman. The actress has, for the longest time, kept her kids Aleph and Amalia out of the limelight. But just a few days before the release of her recent venture as the female Mighty Thor in “Thor: Love and Thunder”, she spilled the beans about how it was because of her little sidekicks that she returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Chris Hemsworth, Portman’s co-star, also let the audience in on a secret – her kids made a cameo in the film alongside his progeny, Christian Bale’s clan, and director Taika Waititi’s children.

Natalie Portman and her husband, Benjamin Millepied, whom she met on the set of ‘Black Swan’ back in 2009, have two children. Other than being the power couple of Hollywood, they are also looked up for their parenting realms.

Their first child Aleph is 12 years old and an avid soccer enthusiast. His passion has also turned him into a big-time fan of the National Women’s Soccer League team Angel City FC, co-founded by none other than his mom.

Portman and Millepeid’s second child, Amalia, was blessed to the couple in 2017. Both of Portman’s kids are also known to be animal enthusiasts, with a particular fascination for the platypus.

With Amalia’s birth, Natalie Portman’s motherhood took a more defined shape. After receiving “feminist baby books” as gifts, Portman took matters into her own hands, by writing ‘Natalie Portman’s Fables‘.

Portman has by now gotten the whole motherhood thing down to an art, and she’s even dishing out advice from fellow moms like Cate Blanchett.

In an interview with Variety, Portman said that both her children were excited about her being part of the Marvel Universe. My 5-year-old and my 10-year-old [now 11] were so enthralled by this process, getting to visit the set and see me dressed up in a cape. It made it really cool,” she said.
