Kjersti Flaa Accepts Anne Hathaway’s Apology For Rude Behavior
Anne Hathaway apologized personally to journalist Kjersti Flaa, who interviewed her 12 years ago. The move came after the video of Hathaway being dismissive of the journalist resurfaced on social media, leading to heavy backlash for the ‘Devil Wears Prada‘ actress.
But Hathaway has seemingly done damage control with a heartfelt apology email to Flaa. The journalist took to social media to reveal that the email was very genuine and “touching“.
In the video shared on her Instagram account, she explained everything Anne expressed to her in the email which made her teary-eyed. “She sent me a long email explaining to me what she was going through right then and she apologized for giving me an awful interview,” the Norwegian interviewer said in the video.
Flaa however refused to reveal the letter’s contents, as per their agreement.
Anne Hathaway Received Heavy Backlash After The Orignal Interview Was Uploaded
During the 2012 promotional interview for her musical thriller ‘Les Misérables, Anne Hathaway had a conversation with the journalist wherein she gave flat answers to her questions and didn’t even participate in a sing-along.
“Do you think love was more passionate back then?” Flaa asked. “No,” Hathaway replied. This was just one of the many instances during the interview where Hathway seemed barely interested. The clip surfaced on social media and garnered over 10 million views on TikTok. Naturally, it also reached Anne, who was being called out for the behavior by netizens.

Later, a studio executive asked Flaa to remove the video from her channel or she might get blacklisted, and she took it down before it resurfaced years later.
