Starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ is a 2006 film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel. Hathaway is the protagonist, Andy Sachs, a fresh college graduate who is hired to work as Miranda Priestly’s assistant. Miranda Priestly is the strict editor-in-chief of a prominent fashion magazine and is said to be inspired by Anna Wintour’s personality. Although Andy doesn’t have any sense of style and doesn’t care for the industry at first, she learns the ropes of the fashion industry and puts up with Miranda’s constant demands.

Streep’s portrayal in ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ garnered praise from critics and led to her being nominated for an Academy Award. Apart from that, the film also has a cult following and has become one of the most iconic fashion-centered films in recent times.
