To paraphrase Quentin Tarantino, no actor has made a career out of being widely miscast like Nicolas Cage. Different stages of his career have seen him make some embarrassing direct-to-video appearances. But nothing can take away from the physical and shamanic intensity he brings to the screen. Cage’s commitment to the craft is undeniable, no matter how bonkers the premise of his movies are.
Nicolas Cage takes on the role of Dracula for his upcoming film ‘Renfield.’ Fans look forward to seeing him take a swing at what seems to be an unhinged version of Dracula. We all have many favorite Nic Cage performances that we can discuss forever. But there’s a lesser-known role of Nicolas Cage he wants the audience to know.

Nicolas Cage Wasn’t Paid For His Least Known Performance
Nicolas Cage and Nicolas Hault did a Reddit AMA session to drum up enthusiasm for ‘Renfield.’ During the session, one of the users asked the actor to name a performance of his that the audience wasn’t aware of. In a true Nic Cage fashion, the answer was something no one could anticipate. He’s a fan of his brief cameo in the 1989 movie ‘Never On Tuesday.’ He did the film without payment and had complete creative control over his character.
Nicolas Cage said, “There was a little cameo that I did that lasted all of about one minute in a movie called ‘Never on Tuesday. I don’t recommend the entire film. But it was a performance I did, I didn’t get paid but the agreement was with the director and whoever was financing the picture that if I do it, they would let me do whatever I wanted.” He made some interesting character choices, such as having a long prosthetic nose and having a Ferrari Testarossa to help him meet girls.

Which DCU Role Does Nicolas Cage Want To Play?
Thanks to Reddit AMA, Nicolas Cage put out the word about wanting to join the DC Universe. Currently going through a significant restructuring, James Gunn-led DC could welcome the likes of Cage. The actor recently refused to be in a Marvel movie, expressing interest in playing a supernatural villain for the rival camp. He’s keen to dip his feet into playing the virtually invincible character The Spectre.
Nicolas Cage revealed, “Ohh !!! Yeah! Jim Corrigan, the Spectre (old DC comic character). That would be a fun one. But that’s a hard one to pull off because he’s virtually invincible, he has no weakness. You need characters that have a kryptonite, that have a flaw, but he’s kinda unbeatable. But that would be a fun one.” Having played Ghostrider and now Dracula, we don’t doubt his acting chops to pull off The Spectre.
