‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Was An Eye-Opening Experience For Zoe Saldaña
Zoe Saldaña has never held back from opening up about her bad experience while working in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise. She appeared in the first installment, ‘The Curse of the Black Pearl’ in 2003 as Anamaria. Zoe attended the BFI Londo Film Festival on October 12. She said at the screen talk, “I knew with that experience the kind of people that I wanted to work with.”
“The crew and the cast, they’re 99% of the time super marvelous.” She continued, “But if the studio and the producers and the director, they’re not leading with kindness and awareness and consideration, then that big of a production can become a really bad experience and you may tip overboard. And I kind of did.”
Zoe revealed to Entertainment Weekly in 2022 that the producer, Jerry Bruckheimer apologized to the actor years later. She said, “Years later, I was able to meet with Jerry Bruckheimer, who apologized that I had that experience cause he really wants everyone to have a good experience on his projects.”
How Steven Spielberg Restored Zoe Saldaña’s Faith In Big Hollywood Productions
