Miley Cyrus Reveals The Reason Behind Her Workout Routine In Heels
Miley Cyrus was speaking during a recent interview when she revealed her unorthodox exercise preference. “My mantra is, like any athlete, ‘Practice how you perform,'” she said. Though most athletes might opt for sneakers or trainers, Cyrus has chosen something a tad more glamorous.
“… I’ve got my ivory Gucci slingbacks because they remind me of Marilyn Monroe. I train in heels, mostly,” Cyrus confessed. She insisted that the choice isn’t just about making a fashion statement; but about reclaiming femininity in the conventional images of women who go to gyms.
“I’m interested in feminizing the workout space, because so much of the workout equipment is ugly,” she remarked, aiming for a gym aesthetic.

Cyrus indirectly asserted that her connections in the industry run deep. “Sometimes I forget to talk about things that are a normal part of my day-to-day, like texting with Beyoncé,” she admitted.

Recalling a meeting at a cancer benefit concert with the two where she felt safe, Cyrus recalled, “Their hips were, like, up to my shoulders… They were protective of me.”
